What you'll be doing.
You choose your own targets: network equipment, ICS, enterprise software, anything that's hard and worth breaking. You find the bugs no one else found and explain to the team why they missed them. Output is the work: you publish CVEs, blogs, and conference talks under your own name, with support from the organization, while building a real reputation in the community.
But breaking things alone isn't enough. At Neo Security, you sit on both sides of the terminal. When things go wrong at a client, you take part in incident response and forensics, and you understand the defensive side just as well as the attack: building detection, blue teaming, and understanding how compliance and governance (ISO 27001, NIS2) relate to the technology underneath. You don't have to be the best at everything, but you need to be able to hold your own across this entire field.
What you bring.
- Demonstrable experience in offensive security: exploit development, vulnerability research, red teaming, or pentesting.
- Experience with DFIR and incident response, and you can operate independently under pressure when things escalate at 8:00 PM.
- Understanding of the defensive side: detection, blue teaming, and observability.
- A feel for compliance and governance (ISO 27001, NIS2) and how that translates to the technology.
- Deep low-level knowledge: assembly, memory, how code actually runs.
- You explain your findings clearly, to a client just as well as to a terminal. Human first: AI is a tool, not a replacement for thinking.
